MCAS Cherry Point Air Show!

I had so much fun at the Cherry Point Air Show this weekend! First, we went Friday and watched the cool night show. I got to see old fighter jets with all kinds of cool lights, a crazy propeller plane that did all kinds of tricks, helicopters that shot out fireworks, and lots of other fun stuff. But, the most fun was at the day show yesterday. Here's some pictures:
Huey pilot in-training
Watching an aerial refueling of some F-18s with Dad

The best part of the day was the Blue Angels Show. We found a great place to watch them across from the runway, and Dad got some awesome pictures!

My Blue Angels gear. We bought my cool shirt from the nicest guy. He is a Vietnam Vet who talked with Dad for a while and gave me a Blue Angels hat for free.

What Does Every Little Boy Need?

A baseball cap and a balloon!
I love my red hat because it matches my Elmo balloon.
Yep, this is the same Elmo balloon I shared with you a couple weeks ago. The ribbon is a bit frayed and Elmo is slowly losing helium, but it's still a good balloon that goes most places with me.
(Don't worry, Mom and Dad love it when I jump on their bed with my shoes on)
And guess what?! I got to see Elmo in person! Yep, Elmo, Grover, Cookie Monster, Rosita and Zoe all came to Cherry Point this week! Mom and Dad weren't able to get pictures, but believe me, it was fun!
Did you know that we have the coolest grocery store? Well, I sure think so. They give me a free balloon every time I go grocery shopping! This balloon only lasted me about a day, but it too came everywhere with me, including the bathtub and my bed at naptime.
Here's a cool hat that I just found yesterday. I snuck into the spare bedroom where Mom and Dad store things that I'm not supposed to play with, but I'm sure Dad won't mind sharing his cap with me.

Outer Banks

Me, Mom, Dad, Kiara, Lakota, and Fiona and Fern (my frogs) just got back from a week at the Outer Banks. It was a really fun vacation with so many new places for me to explore.

FUN ON THE BEACH:
My first day at the Cape Hatteras National Seashore! It was a bit cool and windy, but still a lot of fun!

Ready for another fun day in the sun!

The first few days I was a little nervous about the ocean. Even though Mom said I loved the ocean last summer, I didn't quite believe her. I had lots of fun on the beach but kept my distance from the water.

FUN IN THE WATER:
My Kota puppy hung out with me on the beach too until I was ready for the water. Kota loves the ocean!

Dad built me a really cool trench one day to help me get used to the water again.

I loved splashing in my trench.

And before too long, I was all ready to try out the ocean.

I guess I do still love the ocean!

Waiting for some good waves

Racing the waves.

Finding a new spot to try out.

Taking a break and showing off the belly :)

FUN ON THE DUNES:
The sand dunes were one of my favorite places to explore. I had fun cliimbing the biggest dunes I could find, and I loved sliding back down to the bottom.

Climbing the dunes was Kiara's favorite thing to do at the beach with me. I had fun racing her to the top,

And back down to the bottom.
FUN ON THE PIER:
The Nags Head Fishing Pier was right by our hotel. I got to go check it out and watch all the people fishing reel in some cool Blue Fish.

Can't wait to visit the Outer Banks again!

Favorite Things

One of my new favorite things is my new softball. It looks just like the ones Dad and his softball team play with so now I don't have to keep trying to sneak balls home with me. I play with my new ball all the time, and guess what, I haven't even broke anything in the house yet!

I've been working on my pitching. Serious business!

Another favorite thing of mine...
My new green rainboots! We FINALLY found some that fit me good. (Excuse my lack of clothing, I try to get away with running around naked as often as I can). My new boots are fun for running,

Reading,
And jumping on (and off) the bed!
That's another one of my favorite things. I LOVE jumping on Mom and Dad's bed, and I throw off all the blankets and pillows and make a fun pile to roll into.

I'm quite hilarious if you ask me!

And do you know who is the absolute funniest little red puppet of all time?
ELMO!
I think that Elmo is the coolest! I have an Elmo balloon that I bring everywhere with me! I almost had a grown-up in tears the other day when I got my Elmo balloon. If you haven't heard, I've started throwing temper tantrums once in a while when things aren't going my way. I like to throw myself to the floor and lay there to see if maybe that will change things. It hasn't worked for me so well yet, but it sure worked on the cashier at Wal-Mart. When we got up to pay for our stuff the lady took MY Elmo balloon! I was so upset with her so I very dramatically threw myself to the floor. Right away the lady told me how sorry she was. Mom kept telling her some nonsense about how I was "just fine" and would "get over it." But the lady continued to apologize to me over and over again. I gave the lady my saddest look the whole way out of Wal-Mart. Wouldn't you know it, as soon as we got outside I was all smiles.

Union Point Park And More

Union Point Park in New Bern is one of my favorite parks, and now that the new drawbridge is open, I get to visit it all the time! Last week I got to go the Festival of Fun at the park.
I got to drive a fire truck for the first time! It was lots of fun!
But, my favorite thing was playing on the swings with Dad!

At Union Point I like to find lots of animals. There's ducks, and seagulls, and squirrels, and... the nicest bears!

Well, maybe not this one. He got my finger, OUCH!

Now, back to the squirrels. I found this really cool tree that they like to climb.

And I like to climb it too.

"How do the squirrels get way up there?"
During the week when Mom and me have to run errands we go to the park first in Mom's attempt to "wear me out" so that I don't want to run all over the place. She thinks she's so smart. I like to prove her wrong.
Like this day. I was having fun feeding the ducks. Then, I decided I'd rather be in the water with the ducks. Mom let me walk in a little bit since I was wearing sandals. Of course I didn't stop there. By the time we left the park I was drenched and needed a bath with water bottles and baby wipes, and a wardrobe change before heading to the grocery store.
With the warmer weather comes a lot more time outside to play, and more things for me to help with outside. I love pushing the lawnmower around before we start it up. Mom and Dad were surprised because they thought it would be too heavy for me. But, I fooled them. After I finished with our yard, I even took the lawnmower down the street to help out some of my neighbors. They too were impressed with me.
I've also been working my muscles so that I can take my puppies for walks.

Lakota is still too strong and fast for me, but Kiara walks slow so that I can keep up with her.

Well, most of the time. "Slow down, 'Rara'"

The last fun new Spring thing that I've been doing is watching Dad play softball on base. I'm one of the Chieftains biggest fans. I've been taking notes and working on my skills too.
Once in a while I revert back to football season though :)

I hope you all are having a nice Spring and are enjoying the warm weather :)
